1. Who is responsible for your information
PEACEMAKER CASH LTD (Peacemaker Cash Limited) operates Peacemaker and is responsible for personal information it processes to operate the platform. This policy covers peacemaker.cash, our apps, customer support, commerce and payment tools, and connected features you use.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@peacemaker.cash with the subject Privacy request. Sellers, payment providers, and connected services may also process information under their own policies when they independently provide services to you.
2. Information we collect
The information processed depends on the features you use. It can include:
- Account and contact details: your name, phone number, email, profile information, and account identifiers.
- Verification details: identity or business documents, verification results, and payout-account details when required for a service.
- Transaction and business records: orders, payment references, amounts, wallet and payout activity, invoices, stock, shop details, delivery information, and dispute evidence.
- Content and communications: posts, photos, videos, product listings, messages, support enquiries, and assistant interactions you submit. User content can contain personal information and is covered by this policy.
- Device and usage information: IP address, device and browser information, app activity, pages viewed, diagnostic logs, and campaign or referral attribution.
- Permission-based information: location, camera, microphone, media, or contacts where requested for a feature you choose. Device settings let you control permissions, although disabling a permission can limit the associated feature.
Information comes from you, your use of the platform, counterparties involved in a transaction, and providers that help with payments, verification, delivery, or connected services. Required information is identified in the relevant flow; without it, we may be unable to provide that service.
3. Why we use information
- Create and secure accounts, verify eligibility, and prevent fraud or misuse.
- Provide shops, listings, inventory tools, payments, transfers, escrow records, settlement, and delivery coordination.
- Communicate about transactions, respond to support requests, and review disputes.
- Publish content to the audience you select and provide connected services you request.
- Measure service performance, diagnose errors, improve features, and understand campaign effectiveness.
- Send service notices and relevant product or marketing updates, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
- Meet applicable legal, regulatory, financial-recordkeeping, and lawful disclosure obligations.
Depending on the purpose and applicable law, processing is based on providing a requested service or performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, consent, or legitimate operational and security interests balanced against your rights. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing; this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. WhatsApp, assistants, and market information
If you connect a WhatsApp business account or another service, we process the account identifiers, connection status, and messages or business data needed for the enabled functions. The connected provider's terms and privacy policy also apply. Manage or disconnect the integration through the available account controls or support.
Assistant features may process the messages, attachments, and relevant context you provide to produce a response or support a requested workflow, including through technology providers. Avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for the task. The website's FAQ assistant provides general information; it does not determine the outcome of a live payment or dispute.
Business analytics and Market Trends use available activity data to generate insights. Coverage can be limited. Public or shared insights should not be treated as permission to reveal an individual customer's private transaction information.
7. Retention and account deletion
We retain information for the period needed to provide the service and for applicable legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes. Retention depends on the type of record and any continuing obligation. Closing an account does not necessarily remove transaction records immediately.
You can request deletion of your account or selected personal information. We verify ownership before acting. Some payment, payout, dispute, tax, or legal records may need to be retained, including for up to seven years where applicable requirements make that necessary. Our account-deletion page explains the process, retained categories, and expected timing.
8. Security and international processing
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including access controls and secure service connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your credentials and promptly report suspected misuse.
Cloud and service providers may process information outside your country. Where cross-border processing occurs, we seek safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable legal requirements. Contact us if you need information about the safeguards relevant to a particular service.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you can ask about your personal information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and request deletion where available. Verification and legal retention duties may affect how a request can be fulfilled.
Email support@peacemaker.cash with your request and the contact used for your account. Do not send your PIN, password, or one-time code. We may need additional information to confirm ownership. You can also raise a privacy complaint with Ghana's Data Protection Commission under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
10. Children, updates, and contact
Our commerce and payment services are intended for people who can lawfully use the relevant service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authority, contact us so we can investigate.
We may update this policy as services and requirements change. The updated date is shown at the top. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law. Contact PEACEMAKER CASH LTD (Peacemaker Cash Limited) at support@peacemaker.cash for questions about this policy.
